"FOREVER IN YOUR HEART"
DONATION CARNIVAL

"The samba school Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel starts its participation in the Campaign of Donation of Human Organs and feel happy to help people. The school its heart to everyone whom live and enjoys this big party, the Brazilian Carnival.
I, Chico Spinosa, am personally engaged in this Campaign which has been the inspiration to the development of the Carnival theme, for which importance is related to the comprehension of the possibility of the union of the people through our hearts. Though donation our hearts could beat in the same rhythm, and I am feeling ready to offer my heart together with the "Mocidade Independente" to this social Campaign.
Esthetically will be largest challenge, because in function of the seriousness of the theme we will be present with entertaining, metaphoric and happy images. Frequently we will see the possibility of change of organs, principally change of hearts, between men and angles. We will dream in the near future that our hearts, the Mocidade´s heart, and mine will be in your mind and heart forever.
The mythology, with half-human and half-animal creatures, will be represented as an initial idea of Transplantation. Centaurs, nymphs, miniatures, mermaids, fauns, sphinxes, and the winged horse "Pegasus" will appear among the superstars of the Brazilian television and cinema which will bring the Mocidade´s heart to the center of the Campaign of Donation of Human Organs.
We will file together with the patrons of the clinical and cirurgial medicine, Cosme e Damião, which performed, even without know, the first transplantation of the History. The twins performed a transplantation of leg between a Moor slave and a sacristan of the Roman clergy, whom had been taken cancer. This transplantation is considered a miracle for some people.
We also will transplant corneas, medullas, bones, skin, livers and kidneys through metaphoric connections with the day problems of the modern society. From the medulla, which for us represents justice, we will take the mother cell to treat the human sickness and provide to the humanity the equilibrium and impartiality, collaborating to the scales of the justice works for this campaign.
We will perform a transplantation of cornea, as a large MOAI of Pascoa Island, in order to create a new vision. We choose Pascoa Island because it is the origin of RAPAMICINA, a substance that avoid the rejection of transplanted organs. This substance is extracted of the fungus (mushroom) which is also found in Norwegian and Japan. We exalt this discovery of the medicine, which provide to lot of people the change to see the lights and colors of the life again.
When presenting transplantation of kidney, liver, bone and skin we will not forget to exalt the high dignity of the organ donators, as well as of the receptors and doctors. The doctors transform their job in a mission of life transmitting health to the patients and imaging through new experiences a better world.
Our large task is the development of the custom of the donation, enhancing this campaign and praying for the engagement of the angels in this fight for transplanting their heart in the men, and transforming the humanity in soldiers of the war for the valorization of the life and improvement of the world. In this fight, we should look for a human conscience in order to enlarge the number of donators and consequently the quantity of safe lives."
